A dignified end to life for your pet in the comfort of your home by a compassionate veterinary surgeon

Dr Amy Arnell

BVSc (Hons)

I graduated as a veterinarian from the University of Queensland in 2001. I have helped many pets over the years in general veterinary and emergency practice in Australia and overseas. I live on a small farm in the Northern Rivers with my family and our 14 animals.

I started The Peaceful Vet so that every pet would have the opportunity to receive the best end-of-life veterinary care in the comfort of their home. Every pet deserves to feel safe and comfortable, surrounded by their loved ones, when it’s their time to be put to sleep. I am here to guide you and help you make a timely decision for your dearly loved friend. Euthanasia is the last form of care that we can give to our pets.

Five years ago I was faced with the difficult decision to euthanase my beloved cat, who was like my first child. It was important to me that this was done at home, where he felt comfortable and that it was as peaceful and beautiful as possible. I know how it feels to say goodbye and all the emotions that surround this time.
